The 6kW solar system price in the Philippines sits at PHP 280,000–PHP 380,000 fully installed in 2026. That covers panels, inverter, wiring, mounting, permits, and net metering paperwork — nothing hidden. What moves you toward PHP 380,000 is a hybrid inverter, a complex roof, or a provincial install that demands battery backup. What keeps you at PHP 280,000 is a clean roof, a stable grid, and a string inverter. Know the difference before you sign anything.
- Total installed cost: PHP 280,000–PHP 380,000 (panels + inverter + installation)
- Monthly savings: PHP 8,000–10,000+ vs. Meralco, depending on your consumption
- Payback period: roughly 4–6 years — then your kuryente is practically libre
- Best for households with PHP 6,000–15,000 monthly electric bills
- Needs 12–15 panels depending on wattage (400W–500W per panel)
Magkano? 6kW Solar System Price in the Philippines (2026)
Three cost buckets. That's all a 6kW package is. Here's the honest breakdown:
| Component | Details | Estimated Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Solar Panels | 12–15 panels (400W–500W each) | PHP 80,000–110,000 |
| Inverter | Sungrow or Deye (string or hybrid) | PHP 55,000–85,000 |
| Installation & BOS | Wiring, mounting, permits, net metering | PHP 45,000–70,000 |
Region shapes your final number. Metro Manila installers charge more for labor. Cebu (VECO grid) and Mindanao installs can run cheaper on labor — but frequent brownouts often push buyers toward a hybrid inverter, which eats that saving right back. Get two quotes minimum. Three is better.

Sungrow vs. Deye: Which 6kW Inverter Is Worth It?
Your inverter choice is the single biggest price lever in a 6kW build. Here's the head-to-head:
| Feature | Sungrow SG6.0RS (String) | Deye SUN-6K-SG03LP1 (Hybrid) |
|---|---|---|
| Price Range | PHP 55,000–65,000 | PHP 70,000–85,000 |
| Battery-Ready? | No (string-only) | Yes — hybrid |
| Warranty | 5 years (extendable) | 5 years |
| Monitoring App | iSolarCloud | SolarmanPV |
| Grid Export (Net Metering) | Yes | Yes |
The verdict is straightforward. Metro Manila homeowners on a stable Meralco grid: buy the Sungrow SG6.0RS string inverter. You pocket PHP 15,000–20,000 upfront, and battery storage can always be added later via a hybrid upgrade. Living in Mindanao or a provincial area where brownouts are routine? The Deye hybrid pays for itself fast — those backup hours stop being a luxury and start being essential on the first blackout.
Sulit Ba? Monthly Savings, Payback Period & ROI
Typical payback: 4–6 years. After that, your kuryente is practically libre — and electricity rates only go up.
Here's the math for a Metro Manila homeowner on Meralco in 2026:
- Meralco rate: PHP 11–13/kWh
- Monthly offset: ~750 kWh (at 4.5 peak sun hours/day)
- Monthly savings: PHP 8,250–9,750
- Annual savings: PHP 99,000–117,000
- Payback on PHP 330,000 system: 3.5–4 years (optimistic) to 5–6 years (conservative)
"With singil sa ilaw rising every year, locking in solar now protects you from future rate hikes — every peso increase in electricity rates makes your solar investment worth more."
Net metering adds another layer. Excess energy your 6kW system generates gets credited back to your Meralco or VECO bill at the approved buyback rate. It won't make you rich, but idle daytime production on weekdays still earns its keep. Run our solar savings calculator to model your exact situation — consumption, roof orientation, and local irradiance all shift the final figure.
What's Included in a 6kW Package? (And What's Not)
A standard LakaSolar 6kW installation has everything you need to go live on day one. No surprises — as long as you read the fine print on what sits outside the package:
- Solar panels (12–15 units)
- Inverter (string or hybrid)
- Mounting rails & hardware
- DC/AC wiring & circuit breaker
- 1-year installation warranty
- Net metering application assistance
- Battery storage system
- Panel cleaning kit
- Extended inverter warranty
- Roof waterproofing/repair
Clarify inclusions before you sign. Cheap quotes often strip out the net metering application fee or permit processing — ask for an itemized list. Roof condition is the other blind spot: if your roof needs waterproofing first, no installer will absorb that cost. Budget for it separately.
A 6kW solar system is the sweet spot for Filipino households spending PHP 6,000–15,000 a month on electricity. Big enough to make a real dent sa singil mo. Affordable enough to close the deal. At a 4–6 year payback, it's one of the best-returning home investments available in 2026 — full stop.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many solar panels do I need for a 6kW system in the Philippines?
Twelve to fifteen panels. At 500W per panel — standard for modern Tier 1 modules — 12 panels hits 6kW exactly. Drop to 400W panels and you need 15. The trade-off is roof space: 500W panels are physically larger but mean fewer roof penetrations and a cleaner-looking array.
Can a 6kW solar system power an air conditioner in the Philippines?
Yes. A standard 1.5 to 2.5 HP inverter aircon draws 1,000–1,800W. During peak sun hours, a 6kW system runs one or two aircon units comfortably alongside your other appliances. It won't cool three rooms at midnight — but for daytime cooling, it handles the load with headroom to spare.
Is a 6kW hybrid system worth it over a standard grid-tie system?
Location determines everything here. Stable Meralco supply in Metro Manila? A string inverter saves you PHP 15,000–20,000 upfront with nearly identical daytime savings — take that money. Frequent brownouts in Mindanao or provincial Visayas? A hybrid earns its premium on the first blackout. Be honest about how often your power actually goes out before choosing.

⚡ Bottom Line: Is a 6kW Solar System Right for You?
A 6kW system is the sweet spot for most Filipino households consuming 400–700 kWh per month. At current Meralco rates, you're looking at PHP 4,500–7,000 in monthly savings and a payback period of 5–7 years on a quality grid-tie setup.
- Best for: Homes with PHP 5,000–12,000 monthly electric bills
- Roof space needed: 35–45 sqm for standard 400–500W panels
- Go hybrid if: You experience brownouts more than twice a month
- Stick with grid-tie if: Power is stable and upfront cost is a priority
- Always verify: MERALCO net metering approval before purchase
Solar pricing in the Philippines moves fast. Lock in quotes from at least three DOE-accredited installers before deciding — the difference between the highest and lowest legitimate bids often covers an additional battery unit.
